Ming is a session drummer/ percussionist in studios and live concerts. In 2004, he went to New York to study Brazilian music with Vanderlei Pereira. in 2006, he went to Boston to study R&B music with Kenwood Dennard and rock music with former Dream Theater drummer Mike Mangini.
Ming has worked with various artists as a session drummer since 2008, including Kay Huang, Power Station, S.H.E., Eve Ai, Bii (Bi Shu-jin), Aaron Yan, Biung Wang, Europa Huang, PiA Wu, Hui Chu Wang, Weijie Huang, Yifeng Zhuo, Aniniedora, Ming Chu Chen, If Kids Theatre Troupe, Mongolian singer Sainkho Namtchylak...etc. He represented Taiwan to perform at international music festivals, including 2018 Korea Jeonju International Sori Festival (with SiyuLand Band) and 2023 Singapore Jazz in July Festival (with Skyline).
Ming started working as a studio drummer and percussionist since 2013, and has recorded 25 albums and more than 200 songs to date. In 2014, Hakka singer Weijie Huang’s album "Sunrise, Day" was nominated for Best Hakka Album and Best Hakka Singer Award at the 26th Golden Melody Awards, won Best Folk Single Award at the 6th Golden Melody Awards and Best Hakka Album of the Year Award at 2016 Chinese Music Awards. In 2017, Hakka singer Weijie Huang's song "Night" was nominated for Best Hakka Album Award and Best Hakka Singer Award at the 29th Golden Melody Awards. In 2019, he participated in the production of the Taipei City Hakka Affairs Council's album "Drifting", which was nominated for Best Hakka Album Award at the 30th Golden Melody Awards. In 2019, lawyer singer Mingyuan Su's song "Rootless Sunflowers" won the first prize in the Hokkien group at the 16th Taiwan Music Composition & Songwriting Contest.
Ming has published instruction books for drums and percussion, including “Nine lessons to learn the cajon”in 2014 and “Back to the beginning of playing” in 2017.
